History
Clinton United Methodist church was established in 1872. The mission of the church was to spread a message of hope to the community and the world. In the years to follow land was purchased, a sanctuary was built and an education center was added, located in downtown Clinton.
Today the Clinton United Methodist Church is a multi campus church. The Halstead Campus, the homestead, is located at 12 Halstead Street, in downtown Clinton. This campus offers a full education program for children and adults and 2 worship services on Sunday mornings at 8:15 & 10:45 am. The Spruce Run Campus, currently meeting in the Spruce Run Elementary School, is located at 27 Belvidere Ave. in Clinton. This campus offers a 10:45 worship service with music provided by our praise team. Our church office is located next door to the church at 10 Halstead St.
The church has grown and yet it still holds fast to the message of its founders bringing a message of the love of Christ to the community and to the world.
